Exceptional students earn the privilege to attend national camps held across states, with 4 to 8 participants annually. The NCC unit actively contributes to community welfare through initiatives such as awareness rallies, cleanliness campaigns, anti-narcotic advocacy, and maintenance of state highway signboards. Cadets enthusiastically participate, gaining substantial advantages for armed forces recruitment and higher education after the 2-year NCC training. In St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, 100 volunteers actively participate in NSS activities. Their endeavors include constructing and providing facilities like Bus Waiting Centers, monthly lunches at Assisi Snehasram, installing Road Safety Mirrors, cleaning waiting sheds and KSRTC buses, constructing Gardens in Village Office Precincts, identifying and cleaning garbage dumps, and constructing seats. Over the last 24 academic years, NSS in Chemmannar St. Xavier's has engaged in impactful activities, including organizing a free eye check-up camp in collaboration with Angamaly Little Flower Hospital and Nedunkandam Lions Club. The camp attracted 453 participants, with 33 patients undergoing free cataract surgery. Sherin Mathew serves as the Program Officer, overseeing these diverse initiatives.

This academic year witnessed the inauguration of the rover wing in the higher secondary category, commencing its operations in September. Notable activities encompass a road safety awareness program, cleaning signals in Chemmannar town, visits to the Good Samaritan guest house for Pain and Palliative care, financial assistance, aerial visits to Netumkandam for distributing food and clothes, home visits to sick individuals near Chemmannar school, the establishment of an Instagram page promoting drug-free activities in Netumkandam, along with excise anti-drug awareness, leaflet distribution, and a joint Rover Awareness Seminar. A Tridwina Scouts & Guides Camp unfolded at the school from November 22nd to 24th, 2023, featuring diverse programs. The dedicated leadership of the Bharath Scouts and Guides organization, guided by Rover South Leader Shabin Mathew and Guide Captain Sophie K.S., continues to steer these impactful initiatives.
